This page explains how the zensus.co.uk website uses cookies and similar technologies. It covers this website only — the Zensus mobile app does not use browser cookies at all; see our Privacy Policy for how the app handles data.
1. We do not currently use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies
As of this policy's effective date, this website sets no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party tracking cookies of any kind. There are no embedded social widgets, ad pixels, or marketing scripts on any page.
2. Strictly necessary cookies (hosting infrastructure)
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare may, only when its security features are actively triggered (for example, a bot-protection or security challenge), set one of the following:

These are strictly necessary cookies under UK PECR and the EU ePrivacy Directive — they exist solely to keep the website secure and available, not to identify you or track your behaviour, and do not require your consent. Under normal browsing with no security challenge triggered, neither cookie is set at all.
3. If we add analytics in future
If we later add website traffic/analytics tooling, our intention is to use a privacy-first, cookieless option (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics), which does not set cookies or store any identifier on your device, and reports only aggregated traffic data. We will update this policy to describe it before switching it on, regardless of whether a consent banner would be legally required.
If that ever changes to a tool that does use cookies or similar tracking, we will update this policy first and add a consent mechanism before any such cookie is set, as required by law.
4. Your browser controls
Because this site currently sets no cookies beyond the conditional, strictly-necessary ones described in §2, there is little to manage — but you can view, block, or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings if you wish.
5. Changes to this policy
We will update this page if what this website actually does changes — new analytics, new embedded content, or anything else that sets a cookie. Check the effective date above for the last update.
